The Dreamers (DVD, 2004, NC-17 Version)

This is a film about a film buff and the brother and sister who befriend him while he spends a summer abroad in france studying what else - FILM. This is more inmportantly a film about the bizare sexual relationship that the three - YES I SAID THE THREE - Of them share - You should definatly buy the NC-17 version if your old enough as the story and the sexual relationship is better understood with the seans that ar left out of the standard version edited back in. Definatly a must see for fans of indipendant film and film buffs alike.

If you like France and you love the 60's then this is the movie for you.
You enter a world of the unknown and taboo with the main character.
You see him learn about himslef, others and sexuality and what it means to just give in and to just walk away.
A major movie for all Micheal Pitt fans.

I have seen this movie several times, and it is accurate to the time 1968 in France. The movie has strong sexual content, so you do not want the kids watching it. The soundtrack is excellent. The cast is young and talented. The characters are hooked on cinema and act out fantasy scenes from the movies and play teasing sexual games. if you are easily offended skip this movie otherwise enjoy.

This DVD is working good and clear to watching on this movies. I am Ok with this DVD and it is nothing bad. Thanks you for this DVD

I got this movie because of reading reviews that it was exciting, erotic, and thought provoking. I think a better assessment would be boring, strange, and a complete waste of time and money. I can only recall 3 times in my life that I've begun a movie and didn't finish it - and this was one. The brother-sister connection was more perverse than erotic. Save your time and money for nearly anything else. Even 1 star is generous!

It augments our collection of foreign films with a sort of "realism-natural" quality. We purchased it after seeing it on Cable TV. And are happy we did so.

I knew that there would be lots of sex, nudity, and some language- so if you don't like that sort of thing this is NOT A MOVIE FOR YOU! but the movie itself was cultural, historical, and i loved it! Movie takes place in Paris, France with 2 Parisians and an American. It's interesting to see how they meet, mix and become close friends! The movie was not one you'd just guess up front and shocked me a few times... worth watching, if this is your sort of thing...(NC-17 version watched, but R version on its way to me now...)

This film is absolute an Europa-taste American Flick.
The story goes so slow, but the actors dare to be naked in front of camera.

Eva Green is great and sexy!!

The relationship of the brother and sister appears to be somewhat unusual, making one wonder how many such relationships like this exist in families. If you like to watch beautiful female actresses, then Eva Green will make this worth your while.

I had heard about its cult type following. The characters were compelling and brought out emotions.

I enjoyed this film, beautifully shot by Bertolucci. It is a bit "silly" at times, alot of nudity.....but I think the point was to express the feelings of that era (1968)....in which it succeeds. Eva Green is lovely to look at and the soundtrack is great!

I was somewhat disappointed in this movie. I felt the plot too drawn out and just lacking something of which I just cannot finger. Only good part was scenes of one of the newest Bond Girls, Eva Green, in complete nudity. However this still wasn't worth the feeling of sitting through what felt to be a very long movie although it wasn't. Boring, Dull and I could not recommend this one.

This movie is not for the faint of heart, and it definatley deserves its nc-17 rating. Meaning there is a lot of nudity. Although a lot of adults might find the plotline intresting and the erotisism just adds a little something. Good movie, this erotic thriller would be a good pick for fans of the genre.
