Album Notes This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files. Personnel: Maria Brink (vocals, piano); Chris Howorth, Blake Bunzel (guitar); Jesse Landry (bass instrument); Jeff Fabb (drums). Audio Mixers: Kevin 'The Wolfe' Churko; Dave Hnatiuk; Kevin Churko. Recording information: The Tone Factory, Las Vegas; The Wolves Den, Las Vegas; EMG Studios, Santa Rosa, CA (12/20/2008). Directors: Mike J. Marco; Jeff Brockman. Editors: Dave Hnatiuk; Jeff Brockman. Photographer: Hristo Shindov. Los Angeles's In This Moment boast a powerhouse vocalist in the person of Maria Brink. Her versatile pipes can produce sounds as sweeping and crystalline as Evanescence's Amy Lee, or they can unleash a scorched banshee wail that could peel paint. Happily, she and her band make music on THE DREAM that gives her an opportunity to showcase these many voices. "Forever" begins with twisting leads before shifting into chiming guitars that recall the Cure. Elsewhere, they dabble in hushed balladry on "Into the Light" and full-bore thrash on "The Great Divide."
Editorial Reviews [It's Brink's] voice that'll slay you....Every track that voice takes you to new places in monumental arcs of power. This band is set to kill. Kerrang
