THE BEST OF MUSIC: 1996-2006

I used to buy like every CD I could get my hands on...now I'm sickened by almost every CD I buy. Some CDs I can buy and enjoy for a bit, but even those ones get boring and I wonder why I liked them in the first place. ARMOR FOR SLEEP's 2005 album "What To Do When You Are Dead" is a great album, a must-have for any morbid romantics like me out there, but this album is a much stronger and deeper album. It's a much more serious and somber album. For me, it's easier to not get bored by this CD when the lights go out in the sky (weather changes moods); in contrast, it's easier to enjoy their 2005 follow up in the day time. I hadn't heard of Armor For Sleep until I heard "Car Underwater" (from What To Do.../Dead) on Launchcast, and after hearing that song, I decided to buy the album as soon as possible, 'cause the song just seemed a lot deeper than a lot of what I hear, even on the alternative/college-radio. I loved it, then after awhile (I don't have a lot of $, and I spend what i do have largely on collectables and food), I bought this album after hearing it on Rhapsody a couple times (on e-bay). I should say off the bat that I'm not really big on emo. Most emo is just as annoying and obnoxious as punk (I have yet to understand why everyone but me loves MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE...), but this band (based on their first two albums...) seems to have an affinity for song structure and melody. I swear, I'll be there when their 2007 (or 2008) album comes out! I've been meaning to check these guys' website to see if their any closer to finishing a new album, but I keep getting sidetracked by whatever. I swear, these guys are friggin' good!
