Drean Catchers

Dream Catchers is by far the best collection of Native American lore I have had the pleasure to read. Each story is delightful from beginning to end. The life lessons and morals contained in these stories translates well across all cultures, containing wisdom useable by anyone open to it's lessons. John James Stewart is a very good writer, taking stories from different Tribes and putting them down in a captivating and lively manor. You can easily picture yourself sitting at the knee of the storyteller as you read each story. The book is way too short, Stewart could have held my interest for several thousand pages of stories if he had written them.
I bought this book originally thinking it was a in-depth explaination of the role of the Dream Catcher in the Native American Spirituality. I was looking for information on the various forms and parts of Dream Catchers and perhaps some information on how to make some of the more unusual ones. Sometimes what you want is not what you need.
