Dream Big [ECD] by Ryan Shupe (CD, Sep-2005, Capitol Nashville Records)

This CD takes bluegrass where its never gone before. The hip-hop, rocking beat of most of the songs will have you jamming along even if you dont play the banjo. And if the beat alone doesnt uplift you, the lyrics of some of the songs will. Banjo Boy, one of my favorite songs, is truly a treat. The song has a fantastic, hip-hop-bluegrass sound and the lyrics are amusing as well. Simplify's lyrics artfully remind us how much we need to simplify our lives. Dream big, the title track, is uplifting as it tells us to remember to hold on to our dreams. I highly recommend this CD, you'll be glad you got it!
