Very Cute Game!
You are the creator and through the hero you make, you have to save the raposa from Wilfre and the forces of darkness. This game uses a traditional platform (think Mario) while you are collecting pages from the book of life. In the game you will be asked to draw things like clouds and ice to help you get through the stages. Drawn to Life is a lot of fun and I rate it a 5/5 for anyone who enjoys a quick game with a lot of possibilities to express your creativity. However, it does involve a little more reading than many gamers may want between stages while you are in the village.

Daughter said she loves to draw & color with the templates. She enjoys the different map/lands to explore. She also luvs the songs in the shop. Her best friend had it and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED it - it was all my daughter asked for, for her 12th birthday! :)

I dont know if it was the game itself or a design flaw, seems like if I set
the game down for to long, none of my action buttons worked and the objects
I drew sometimes (like clouds) didnt seem to work and I fell through them.
The plot seemed boring to me, it just wasn t as great as I thought it would
be, the music was catchy, seemed like you need 3 hands in some spots and too
easy in the rest of the game. It is exciting to see your drawing come to life,
this Im sure will be the start of some better games.

Rather boring, but a cute twist...ok for a rainy day

I thought I would like "Drawn to Life" based on the product description, but in reality, this game was boring.

The game is sort of a combination of "Zelda", "Mario" and a scribble-pad put together.

You are "The Creator" and a little village needs your help. You do simple little things like tapping on a door so it will open (is this supposed to feel interactive?) and following characters around on the main screen. This overview reminds me of games such as 'Zelda' or perhaps 'Animal Crossing'. You have something to do, you wander around and you do it.

Then, you have boards/levels to complete as a part of the ongoing storyline. This part is similar to a 'Super Mario' type game, where you move along from left to right, scrolling through the board, collecting coins, jumping on bad guys and getting to the end of the board. Pretty standard...nothing too special here.

The 'twist' to the game (although a simple one) is that now and then, you are able to draw what you need. For instance, in a game board you need a platform to jump onto...so you have to draw it. So whatever you draw is what you will use to jump onto (ex. a block, a cloud or just a line). You need a weapon...they ask you to draw it, then your character carries it along with them...that kind of thing. This part is a bit more creative and interactive and a cute little twist that most games don't allow for (customization). But does it make the game all that much more worth playing? In my opinion...no.

I am not sure exactly what the ideal age group for this game would be...not too young (I would think under age 6 would find it too difficult) but not too old either (I would think over age 13 would find it too easy). So perhaps this is one of those games that would be appropriate for say, a 10th birthday party.

If you can buy the game cheap, then all the better...in case it doesn't get played much.
Thank you for reading...

I bought this game for my seven year old and he absolutely loves it! Its great how this is not only a video game but it teaches creativity and helps the child learn strategy. It is however a bit difficult, perhaps it may be more suitable for children around the age of 8 or 9 and up????

My 10 year old son purchased Draw to life. When I asked him what he liked about this is what he had to say; "It is fun to draw things and have them come to life. You can draw all sorts of stuff and then have an adventure with them." When asked what he doesn't like about it, he replied that some of the levels are difficult and confusing because "they're so long and you loose your way easily". Overall he would recommend this game because of the creativity of it.

I bought this game, Drawn to Life for my adult daughter.I bought my daughter a nintendo Dsi a couple of months ago and have been buying games for it here and there.I bought this game because my daughter has alway's loved to draw and this looked like it might be interesting. She loves it and so does her boyfriend. My daughter said this game was more for a younger child but she still loves it,She and her boyfriend play this game all the time even though they have beaten it numerous times. She likes it because you create your own characters and they interact with the regular game characters.I recently ordered Spongbob Sqaure Pants Drawn To Life along with several newly released game and my daughter is looking forward to getting the spongebob sqaure pants Drawn To life more than the other ones I ordered.~Very Happy I bought it! ~Great Game!~A Most Have in your game collection!~~~~~ Highly Recomended

  Wonderful game with *original content.

Game is very Japanese in style, cute little Pokemon like characters in the movie and playing the field.
The story sometime drags out, but the play makes this worth the purchase. A typical level takes around 15 minutes to play and they do get harder.
Unfortunately the characters were not so easy to customize and they were restricted to a certain field, but this style and format to play is very original. What's ironic about this game is that I purchased it for a child and ended up playing it myself - I am a grown adult.
This game is made for everyone and will definitely engage all ages.

Drawn To Life for Nintendo DS
Review created: 02/02/10

I liked this product as a gift for Nintendo since it helped with creativity in a game, not just pushing arrows. I bought it as a Christmas present for my 6 year old grandson, he was very happy with it. I felt it was a good buy on Ebay even if it wasn't a lot less in cost, it was more convenient.

The game, itself, was fine. The seller did not communicate very well. I emailed a couple of times and did not receive an answer so I thought it was a scam and reported it to PayPal. After reporting it, the seller did respond. The game took a long time to arrive.

Product fine. Seller needs to communicate better and find faster delivery method.

The game is fun to play, and it does have a plot, but I think I would have liked it better if I actually got to draw the things instead of just coloring a pre made design.

It's a fun game with a neat idea that you get to draw certain aspects of the game. Though this game is geared towards the younger ones, it can be quite challenging.
