Dragon Warrior: Awesome.
I started playing this game when I was 7. I finally passed it when I was 14.
Yes, this game was obviously challenging, but LOADS of fun.
It took me years to find the one thing I needed to pass (I believe it was the sun stone) and by the time I got to the final boss, the fight was a joke because I had leveled up for 7 years searching for something that in reality, shouldn't have been hard to find!
This is the first game in a series of 4 for NES. The sequels can be a bit pricy and hard to get your hands on; but once you play the first you will understand why the sequels are in high demand. It is also important to note that this is the beginning of a larger series: Dragon Quest. Dragon Warrior is Dragon Quest, in Japan. This series has continued well into 2007 and is still thriving.
This game requires a lot of patience, as do a lot of older RPGs. The music can also get very annoying at times. In these cases, I recommend muting the TV and playing some music.
All in all, I had a blast playing this game. I don't regret spending a good part of my life trying to pass it. I recently bought the sequel here on eBay and I can't wait to start playing it.
