Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime (Nintendo DS, 2006)

I've passed by this game countless times, but finally decided to buy it after reading its good reviews. i'm so glad i did. this game is simple, but fun and unique. it feels quite a bit like old zelda games, except that through your adventures you have to find as many items as you can as ammunition and alchemy ingredients for tank battles, which randomly occur throughout the levels and are quite unlike anything i've ever seen in a video game before. you don't have to use the stylus or blow into the mike or any other gimmicky DS motions, which is a plus for me. its also extremely cute and the graphics are decent and the sound is pretty good...my only complaint is that its a very short game- it takes about 10-12 hours to completely beat it.
