Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story by Original Soundtrack (CD, Apr-1993, MCA Records USA)

Overall, I'd have to give this soundtrack a slightly below-par score. The tracks, while from the movie, don't seem to flow very well on the CD. The scores themselves aren't nearly as moving as I recalled while watching the movie... (hands down, the movie ROCKS!!! I HIGHLY recommend getting/seeing the movie!). As for the soundtrack though, I was kind of let down. I have a lot of movie scores... and was thinking this one would be up there at a 'James Horner' kind of level. Instead, it's a handful of notches above elevator music (if anything, it sounds kind of like generic theater music... when you are walking out of the show... I really would never be able to say that this music was specifically from this movie... unlike other scores from other movies... this has a rather generic feel). If you are die-hard fan of the movie, you'll probably like it more than the average person, otherwise, you too may find it kind of bland to your ears.

This soundtrack is quite diverse, yet all the themes are excellent. Listening to some of them even makes me sentamental concerning their corresponding parts in the movie. A great soundtrack!
