Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku I & II (Game Boy Advance, 2005)

I bought this game as a gift for my younger brother who had it when it came out but lost it. He had me search high & low for it & luckily I found a new one thru you. He absolutely loved this game as a kid & even now though he is older. He raves about this game & if he's pleased with it, then I'm extremely pleased that I got it for him. Thanks a million!

I bought this game for my kid that love Dragonball Z. He hasn't say anything and he play it almost every day.

I rented Legacy of Goku about 3 to 4yrs ago, and same with Legacy of Goku II (during the Dragonball Z popular times).

Legacy of Goku I takes place from the beginning of Dragonball Z where you start at Master Roshis house, and then fight Raditz. It follows the Anime, and goes up to the end of the Freiza Saga. The game is extremely short, and can be beaten in one sitting. The game in my opinion was very difficult. From the beginning of the game once you had to fight monsters I kept on dying at wolves. Asfar as the graphics go though I can't complain for a 2002 GBA game they were very well done. But the game mechinaics for this game just lack in the way of mobility, and attacks. Overall I would have to say this is a game that isn't worth playing unless you are curious. If you are a huge Dragonball Z fan then you will want to play it probably.

Now for Legacy of Goku II this game was byfar outstanding. Legacy of Goku II goes from the Trunks Saga all the way up to the end of the Cell Games Saga. It is a complete turn around from Legacy of Goku I. You can play as more then one character, and the game mechanics are very well done. You can now become Super Saiyan, and each characters have their own form of attacks. Also the graphics were very nice in this game too. They are very vibrant, and well done for a GBA game. This game unlike Legacy of Goku I has a good challenge level. It isn't hard to play but just has enough challenge.

I orginally played Legacy of Goku II when I hadn't even watched one episode of Dragonball Z. The game is so well done by the story, that even if you aren't a fan you can get into it. This game can be picked up, and played even if you aren't into the series because the story is so easy to follow along on. Overall, this is one excellent RPG title to play.

Overall, even though Legacy of Goku I is a bad game in my opinion you can't go wrong in getting 2 games in 1. I would reccomend picking up this game as it is worth the value. I would reccomend this game(s) even if you aren't a Dragonball Z fan because they are extremely fun. I gave the game 5/5 because even though Legacy of Goku I found was a horrible game you can't go wrong with 2 games in 1.

I personally love dragonball z and Goku is probably my favorite character within the show (which he is for many people i assume) so I wanted to try out this game and was sure that it would be great!, however, the first legacy of goku was VERY poorly constructed. There was no initiative for me to keep playing the game when the fighting system was a little more boring than the conversations that the characters got involved in. However, the second game was phenomenal! A dramatic improvement in gameplay and an amazing improvement in the telling of the story, this game is miles ahead of it's predecessor. Great games! one better than the other but a very happy purchase!

When the first legacy of goku came out i was just entering high school. I played between and during classes. It was very fun. I want to try and beat the first one before moving on to the 2nd game. Either way if you like Dragonball Z you will most likely love this game. Goku is awesome.

It's a good game, if you want to play the story of the first two games then this is the game for you to buy. If you are a collector then try to find both games individually and that will make the collection more valuable and worth having.

Great GBA game for dragon ball z fans! One of the few role playing, dragon ball z games out there! An old favorite!

My son was impressed by the fact that two games are presented on one cartridge.
