Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit (Xbox 360, 2008)

the only reason id play this game is for the 360 achievments id played these games about 3 years ago but now i see them as weird and kinda annoying i mean how many games have they made about the same thing and still continue to make new ones i hope they now its getting old now

I love Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limits. It is a very intense and competitive game to enjoy with friends and family. I love High Definition graphics and the very fast gameplay. The story mode is an even better feature than it was in the previous Dragon Ball Z games.

I have a son who seems to be slightly obsessed with this particular genre. Whilst this game does have one or two twists and extras in comparison to the others, there's not really a lot here to really distinguish it from the others. Having said that, it's a decent enough game, if violent, and it certainly seems to have satisfied my son for the time being.

I am a die hard Dragonball Z fan so I would love this game no matter what but through seeing my friends play this game and other people I realized that just about everyone can enjoy it. Even if you don't know anything about Dragonball Z, this is just a very fun fighting game because there is no other game like it. You get extremely fast paced battles with intense action and the aspect of firing the kamehamehas and other kai beams is what separates this fighting game from others.

ok game if you like anime...bought it for my boyfriend, who loves dragon ball z. he thinks its great and is playing it now as i write this!!! i'm not a fan, but whatever keeps him from buggin me is fine!!!! good graphics from what i can see, and it has a story line that it follows while you are playing the game, as you play the game, you can unlock more parts of the story. the more you unlock, the more involved it gets...this coming from my boyfriend as i am typing this review.

It feels like budokai 1 for the ps2. The graphics and fast gameplay is great, but the selection of characters and story mode, seems dated. There are some annoying additions like the drama pieces which come into play during a battle that cancels many things. Overall, its a good rent.

Overall, I thought this game was very enjoyable. The combat is extremely fluid and fast, and creates an incredible likeness to the original series. One of my favorite aspects is that you feel like the attacks you are doing are actually inflicting a lot of damage on your enemy, which makes the game more intense and enjoyable. The graphics are fantastic, better perhaps than the original show.
There were several things that disappointed me about this game, primarily the length. I beat it in a few hours. If you are familiar with the series, this game stops at the Cell saga, which doesn't really do the whole series justice. With this in mind, your characters are only able to level up as far as this saga allows (Gohan is the only character capable of Super Saiyan 2), so the powering up is a little underwhelming. I am comparing this to the previous DBZ games, such as Budokai 3, in which your characters could all eventually be leveled up to the max, as seen on the show.
Overall I would recommend this game to anyone, especially fans of the Dragonball Z series. The game stayed true to the show, which I appreciated. The combat aspect is excellent, very fast-paced and fun. The graphics are amazing. The only drawback is the depth of the game, both in story line and character development. Perhaps there will be a Burst Limit 2 that will pick up where this one left off (Buu saga and beyond)?

I love the fighting engine in this game it takes the best parts of budoki ( the fighting) and tencahki ( story line scenes) and combines them the graphics are top notch, the drama pieces are also a great addition. The bad parts are that there aren't that many chacters even though most dbz fans are used to it this doesn't really make it any better in that aspect. and also it is alot easier to exucute special moves in my view but it is still a great game and I would recommend it to anyone dbz fan or not 4/5 stars

I bought this game for my cousin's birthday. He is a DBZ fan so I automatically knew that he would enjoy this game.

As far as an action adventure game I can't give 5 stars Due to the fact that the story mode was to short. There was not as many charcters. But other than that the game is the best dbz game as far as graphics and fighting go.

I enjoyed this game very much. Going online on Live is simple and fast. The game is fast paced and the action is well represented. The graphics are like WOOSH! And the sparklies go all over when you power up to transform. Good game all around thankyou

i like this game. its probably one of the best fighting games ive played because it is none stop action. they could put more characters in the game to fight with but other than that i like it

i cant play this game because me xbox is set to united kingdom reginol code and this game is amamrican or jappenese i dont know but its a scam and you know it.

I don't care what anyone say about Budokai and other DBZ titles, DBZ Burst Limit is the most superior one of the franchise. There is a lot of depth to the gameplay, the graphics are beautiful and the game works as a whole.

For $20 bucks, this is a MUST for all DBZ fans!

If you liked Budokai and the "Budokai Tenkaichis", this is not for you. It's practically a button-masher. Granted, the other ones could be construed as such also, but in this game I find myself constantly warping when I didnt try to. The timing on dodging and ki deflecting is off, and the "drama pieces", little scenes within a battle, get old really fast. The utilization of the ki meter is strange, and for the most part repetetive. Avoid this game a all costs.

If you like dragon ball, this is the game to get! On the 360 it's very fluid, very fast and full of life. Make sure to get burst limit though.
