Synopsis More than 200 years after the publication of the original story, the Stoker family has "officially" sanctioned this sequel to the classic vampire tale, DRACULA. Penned by Bram's great-grandnephew, Dacre Stoker, and Ian Holt, DRACULA: THE UN-DEAD picks up 25 years after the first book ends and follows Jonathan and Mina's son Quincey as he meets the likes of Bram Stoker (yep), Dr. Van Helsing and his morphine addicted (but still living) protégé, Dr. Jack Seward, Oscar Wilde, and the blood-thirsty Elizabeth Bathory. Some of these folks are alive; some are dead; and some are un-dead. But most are in the least very creepy. Stoker and Holt--who worked from Bram's notes--do a good job channeling and riffing on Victorian horror conventions, while fearlessly adding a few modern updates of their own devising.
