Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat (2004, DVD)

I remember reading this book as a child and wondering what damage could Thing 1 and Thing 2 really do? Does that clean up machine really work?

In this movie the tale from the book is brought to life. Sally and Conrade go on quite the adventure with the Cat in The Hat. The cat is played by Mike Myers, who couldn't have done a better job. He was just awesome!
Sally and Conrade do learn some valuable lessons in this movie. Sally learns to let loose and have a little fun and Conrade learns that being so spontaneous can cause quite a bit of trouble.

very cute movie. My children absolutely love it. In fact as I write this review they are watching it...hopefully they aren't jumping on the couch though.

So cool and so funny! I wasn't happy because the movie wasn't long enough!

I bought this for my 2 year old, who is more like a 3 year old. I thought being a Dr. Seuess movie, it would not be inappropriate. There were no spoken "bad words" but they were mouthed. Now, luckily my daughter cannot read lips yet, but I thought this to be inappropriate for a smaller child. Even one who can read lips and understand the words.

The movie is very funny in true Dr. Seuess fashion. I just feel it would be more appropriate for an older child.

I just thought the movie was just great for my children it was very age appopriate and the children really enjoyed watching it. It keep their attention and it was not distracting.

This is a good family oriented movie. It has great moral character skills and it is funny to watch.

I bought this movie because my grandchildren love it. The 4 & 3 yr old can almost reciete the entire movie word for word. The VSH the had of it was worn out. Therfore one new. It is an interesting movie.

My kids just LOVE this movie !! So funny and Mike Meyers is perfect in this role !! We have watched it over and over !!

It's the perfect movie for lil ones & adults. My daughter loves everything Seuss & this movie was a hit w/ her & the older kids!! It can be hard to find movies that are cute for the lil ones, funny for the older kids & still quick enough for the adults.This is perfect for those who have had thier fill of animal-animations & happily ever after stories. There is adult humor hidden in the movie that most over 14 years will catch,& won't even faze the younger ones.I highly recomend this movie for those who have kids of varois ages & need a movie that they can all sit thru w/ out be frightened or asking ?'s you don't want to answer.

The books are excellent, but when made in to a movie, is totally lacking. Sexual inuendos and teaches children that immorality is acceptable. References to a garden hoe as "You dirty hoe", it's ok baby I still love you" and then pretending to lick it is teaching our children that this is acceptable. (There are numerous other inappropriate scenes)I turned the movie off and explained to my children that this is a sad example of what is acceptable in todays society. It is sad when this is what people want and find funny and then complain about the youth of today. I wonder where they get it from. We need to review what our kids are watching and set guidelines.

Kids love it and my two year old granddaughter wanted it for Christmas. Price was excellent on Ebay. Holds kids attention so was a good movie to buy.

this is a great family movie my family loved watching the cat in the hat. i would recommend this movie to anyone even if you watch this movie yourself

This movie is so cute with great adult humor :) I hope to find more movies like The Cat in the Hat. It's awsome to find movies like this on ebay at such great prices as well!

Mike Myers does a great job pulling off being the cat in the hat. He has g=funny lines and super cool gadgets kids will love.The characters are silly. Kids love the movie. There are a few jokes adults will get too--which aren't too blatant that kids will catch. Alec Baldwin does a good job being funny without trying to be. It mixes all the right elements to be a fun movie to watch. Kids appreciate loving parents after they see the movie!

I received the DVD very quickly!! The DVD was still in it's original wrapper. My daughter loves it!!!

I had rented this movie and my grandkids loved it. It held their attention and it is a clean, funny movie. I decided to get it and give it as a Christmas gift. This is a great clean and funny movie.

The Cat in the Hat is the best buy I have made. I might need to buy another
one due to my grandaughter watching it up to six times a day. She just loves
it. I never get tired of this DVD either.
