Dr. No (DVD, 2000, Special Edition)

I know a lot of people prefer a few of the later entries into the Bond films but I like Dr. No the best because of the newness of it ... the edginess of it and nothing can top Ursula Andress ... she was the first and best Bond cohort. Sean Connery, whether flirting with a tarantula, a beautiful woman, or a fire breathing dragon can not be beat. The new Bond films may be exciting (and it will interesting to see what Daniel Craig does with the role in a few months) but nothing can top Sean when he says, Bond, James Bond ... just like Bogart when he gave the gin joint speach in Casablanca; those words are forever etched in the mind of millions. I had an old video but finally decided I needed to upgrade and EBAY came to the rescue.

I always enjoyed James Bond although I always also felt that Roger Moore was a better Bond than Connery. I know I will face some wrath from Bond fans about that but I also knew that having a copy of this film was going to be a collector's item.

Great 007, available new only in the expensive sets. I thought I'd complete my collection by getting new versions now out, only to find my FAVORITES were not available individually (new). Best of the series

This is the best James Bond movie that has been done. Terence Young did a great job directing and of course the only man that IS Bond is Sean Connery. My nine year old loves this movie so of course I had to get it for him!

I haven't seen this movie, but my boyfriend has and he loved it. He's a huge James Bond fan, so this made the perfect Christmas gift for him!

It was exactly as advertised and added to my collection of 007 movies. It was all good and just as I expected.

I have not had a bad experience while purchasing items on Ebay. In this case I wanted the first of the James Bond series on DVD. This was not even available locally. Not only was I able to find the item I wanted, but I got it at an excellent price.

I've been watching Bond for years, but this is one that escaped my attention. So when I saw it on here I just had to buy it and honestly, I really enjoyed it. The only sad part about the movie is that it doesn't have the gadgets like all of the other Bond movies. But this one is rather entertaining with the Bond wit that we all know and love. As I said in the title of this review, this is a great start to a great series of movies.

This is the first James Bond movie and cartainly one of the best, however it's slower paced than the later gadget-rich Bond films. Still, this movie has beautiful cars, beautiful women and great action and dialogue, a true must-see Bond movie.

i think it was great that the movie was a special edition, really nice of the buye. if there was more of james bond i would buy them.
