Well designed, glossy, and lots of cool pics! If you like to TV show, you will certainly love this cookbook full of recipes from the Neelys themselves. A must have for any fan of Southern style cooking!

I like that this cookbook has the flare of southern cooking with easy to find and not so expensive ingredients. Easy step by step instructions and guidelines with a litle bit of the Neely's family history and a little bit of comedy. Overall a great little cookbook and worth every penny to try some of the best eatings out there! Makes a great gift for that cook in your life.

Wonderful Southern recipes that even I can cook. Saw the authors on "The View" and the husband and wife team/authors provided the ladies of "The View" with samplings of some of the dishes featured in this cookbook. Whoopie Goldburg and Joy Behar sang praises on everything they tasted so I immediately went to my computer and ordered the cookbook on eBay. This cookbook is a "keeper".

My mother watches The Neelys constantly, how she would love too get some of the recipes they cook on their, I ordered it for her and she loves it, absolutely loves it, she has made the cheddar broccoli cornbread...absolutely awesome

I dont really know much if anything about this cookbook. I dont cook but bought this as a gift for Christmas for my girlfriend. She is a "cook" in training. She tries hard and is vastly improving, I hope this book does her alot of good.

I purchased this book as a Christmas present for my brother in law. He is a huge fan of the Neelys and loves to cook. The book is brand new and the price was so much better than buying it new at a book store. It arrived promptly and was nicely wrapped for shipment.

I love this cookbook, Being from the south I can relate to a lot of the old recipes, You can tell the Neely's put a lot of loving care in their prepration for the book and it shows, I love the little comments they make and hearing their life story about how they got started, It is very good to see someone like them make it in the Business world, They are Afro American, AND STARTED WITH ALMOST NOTHING. But they did not give up, They trusted in God and now look at them. I am Caucasion and it makes me very proud of them. Myra

I bought this book after watching their tv show. I am from the north and my spouse is from the south and this book shows me how to cook some of the foods he was raised on and loves. It is easy to follow and so far except for fish stock I have been able to find all the ingredients. Now I can erase all the recordings on my dvr because I have them in my kitchen. You can't go wrong with the recipes and the personal stories and photos are an added tribute to their love of cooking. Now I need a smoker.

I watch the Neelys on the Food Network all the time so I knew the cookbook would be fabulous and it truly is.

Fun book...even if you don't already love cookbooks! This book goes along with the family atmosphere of the Neeley's TV show. The family is real: they josh and joke and pick with each other, and this is carried over to the book. It is in a real sense of the word also a story book about a family who share their passion of family and of food. Did I mention the food? The recipes are easy to follow and generally easy to do....no complicated directions and ingredients. And the food? Just plain good home cooking. Some recipes have a "twist" on an old recipe ( this makes them different and lively)...and there are stories to many of the recipes. We left the book on the coffee table for the first few days so we could all look at it!
I bought it for my husband, who grew up with southern cooking (and is a better cook than I am)....but I really liked it too!!

ADORABLE COOKBOOK WITH THE SECTIONS ON THEIR PERSONAL AND FAMILY LIFE. THE BEST RIBS WE'VE EVER COOKED!!! LOVE THEIR SHOW ON THE FOODNETWORK AND CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THEY COME OUT WITH ANOTHER BOOK!!
