) I bought this book because I am working towards my DONA certification as a birth doula and this is on the reading list. Honestly, I wish all "text" books were like this. Not only was it informative, but it was interesting. It was definately written with the heart of the doula in mind. The statistics on behalf of assisted childbirth are astounding and the case studies and guides are so helpful and encouraging. This book will remain in my library for all time.
