Rated G
G = good for Sega CD

It seems most people either hate this game or love it and all for the same reasons.

Reason #1. It's cheesy, the story, writing, and most of the acting, but it is a video game. You trap the same people over and over again..in the same traps!

Reason #2. It's not pretty! The screen is small, so it doesn't look super blocky like it would if it was full screen and those of you looking for eye candy shouldn't be playing a Sega CD.

Reason #3. The gameplay. It's not GOW or GOW 2 but GOW didn't exist yet. It's really a memory and speed game, especially if you get into a high score war with a friend. There are 3 different acts in the game, and the producers did a good job of changing up your objectives.

Final recommendation:

If your the kind of person that would say a movie is good because it is bad, and you have the ability to defeat Tyson in Mike Tyson's Punch-Out, you may love this game, otherwise you'll get stuck on Act II and blame the crappy graphics and the stupid gameplay; you'll probably play something really unique, different, and mainstream, like Street Fighter turbo alpha omega champion edition...2

If you really dislike this game, I suggest you stay away from all FMV games.
Try: Snatcher, Rise of the Dragon, Space Adventure, Heart of the Alien, Flashback, Lunar, Earthworm Jim, Eternal Champions, Samurai Showdown, or Monkey Island.

  Double Switch
Review created: 07/12/08

Double Switch is one of Digital Pictures' many full-motion video games from the mid 90s. In this "cinematic mystery" you must watch your serveilance cameras in order to trap intruders in the Edward Arms mansion.

Double Switch stars Corey Haim and Deborah Harry, and features a musical score by Thomas Dolby.

The game itself takes a while to get used to, as you must quickly spring from room to room and set up the correct traps to catch unsuspecting guests in chronological order. This means that at times, you must quickly spring a trap in one room then jump to another and do the same in the exact same order. The more people you catch, the harder it is to remember which rooms come first and so forth, but once you get the hang of it, it's a fun game to play that never gets boring. Unless of course you can't remember which order to set and spring the traps.

Grainy uninspired game play comes to mind when playing this game. Underlying though is the thrill of setting traps and finally completing this game that requires absolute perfection to beat.
