Double Dragon (Nintendo, 1988)

Double Dragon is the greatest beat em up of all time for the NES. It has great graphics for 1988 and plenty of move variations. You actually gain hearts through the game that give you new attacks! Early in the game you have limited attacks, punch, kick, headbutt, but later you get uppercuts, spin kicks, and other sweet moves.

Double Dragon holds some of my best childhood memories! I still play it weekly to this day, on virtual console.

I believe the NES version is the best version of double dragon. and FYI, there are two versions of the NES double dragon, the older one with the original NES seal of quality, and the new version with the new seal of quality. I also believe that the title screens are a little different between the two versions as well.

Great arcade game! The NES game is good and fun. I played this game a lot as a kid. It brings back memories! I like the different weapons you can pick up and use on your enemy's.

This was one of my favorite arcade games before it came out on NES or SNES. Back in the day, this was basically one of the arcade games I only played. I was definitely a video-game-addict back in the 80's.

Only one of the best games ever. Wasn't sure if my old nes would work so this was my trial game. So its saying I have to have at least 100 characters so this sentence is a filler lol.

This falls under the umbrella of Great Arcade Game, NOT Ported Correctly to the Nes home console. Double Dragon, it's in the title DOUBLE meaning 2, but because of the then ignorance of truly getting every bit of efficiency out of the 8 bit nes hardware, it's only one player at a time, causing the second player that You uses to co-op with on the arcade version is stuck eating chips and actually hoping that You die so they get their turn, sad actually quite sad.

You'll love the game if You're a stag gamer, because You won't be prone to the co-op dilemma but Double Dragon is a single player per turn game and that kills it's true essence.

The game was in great condition and plays really well. The shipping was very fast and the item was packeged very well

Double dragon is one of the best fighting games on NES. It takes me back to when I was a kid. I forgot that on this game you can't play two players at the same time on story mode. Next, I've got to get double dragon two.

I've only recently begun collecting classic Nintendo games, and I gotta say, Double Dragon is one of the best. I just love the fighting/platform theme of it, tons of fun. For all you with NES's out there who don't own this game, GET IT! Its awesome!

i love this game i used to play it when i was little they dont make games like this anymore im trying to get back into the older games lately they seem more fun.

as soon as the mail man dropped off the package i went outside and got it out the mailbox and came inside and started playing the game i hadn't played this game since i was 8.

This is a game that I really enjoyed as a child. My children are not finding it as good as I did. But they will soon learn to enjoy it.

One of the best games that came out for the Nintendo that started out in the arcades. Punch and kick your way through hundreds of street toughs to rescue your girl. Definitly a great two-player game, Double Dragon also spawned two direct sequels as well as a team-up with the Battletoads. However, the basis of these games starts here. A classic.

The only think I don't like about buying stuff off Ebay is any Joe can look up a guys name/a co worker and watch what he's buying. So I thought sometime I should buy womens lingerie and panties so a co worker or you guys would laugh so hard and say, what! this guys People magazines single guy. He's not dating right now, what in the world is he buying that for???

This game has the most awful graphics on the planet, and is SO cheesy, but we LOVE playing it, simply because it's a nostalgic piece of our lost youth. In general, well worth buying, unless you're from the "Wii" generation..... lol
