The first two Double Dragon games for NES were good, but this one really blows.
It starts off telling the story of Billy and Jimmy, only there is a typo, so you play with Bimmy...and Jimmy...
It's is extremely hard, you die fast, and only get one life, so when you do die, you start from the begining.
Two player mode makes it possible to advance past the first level, (Just don't pick 2-Player Game B. because then you hit each other)
As you get farther into the game you meet other characters, and when you die you can play as them, but they are just normal people who can't really fight anyway, so it's pointless.

This game is trash.

I played this game all the time as a kid; I never beat it. You have more moves than in either of the other DD games, but for most part, you find yourself resorting to the DD II spin kick.

DD III is frustrating because it has such a steep learning curve, and you have no lives. That said, the enemies and levels are more interesting and diverse than in the game's predecessors. You also get an extra "super" spin kick if you play the two player mode.

Overall, I like this game more than DD I but less than DD II.

This is probably the best in the double dragon series. The only thing I dont like about it is the fact that you can easily fall off and lose your life. well what nintendo game doesn't have that right? lol buy the game it's fun.

The Double Dragon series......One of my favorite games for the original NES. Pardon me, but I like games where you pummel people nonstop to save a girl.

As far as beat 'em up games go for the NES Double Dragon is the best. The final game in the series brings the best out and makes it well worth adding to your NES collection.
