I bought this game because my five year old has trouble playing alot of the rated everyone games. He plays this one all the time now, even my 7 yr old enjoys playing it. They have both beat the game once and are now working towards beating it again. This game is a must for anyone with small kids that want to play video games. Dora does not "die" and you don't "fall" to the point that you have to restart. If Dora gets on the side of a cliff that she shouldn't fall off, the game just won't let her go, you have to turn around and go the other way.
Our daughter is very into Dora! This game is GREAT for beginners...and Play Station clueless moms! She is enjoying this game! I would recommend this for beginners!
The game is perfect for young children. It is easy for them to control, and understand. It is just like the tv show on Nick Jr only way better...they get to personally interact with Dora, Boots and her friends. Really enjoy watching my children play.
It is a good game. My daughter is 3 an dit suits her perfectly. Very easy but not so much where it'll make the child feel like they are doing anything! Id say 3-5 is a good age for the game. not much older though bc i think it would be way to easy! ]

I purchased this game for my Youngest Daughter who loves Dora. Who rarely gets to play it because my son the tuff guy thats a girls game won't ever let her play. He loves it plays it all the time. Great Investment!
My kids love this game......... Its very fun and educational for kids my kids are counting very well and are learing the colors and they are only toddelers...........
My brother loves the Dora The Explorer Purple Planet game, because he loves outer space, especially collecting the stars. Parents, if you have children, this is the video game that is both addicting, and educational. Dora the Explorer teaches your kids shapes, counting, mental activities, and of course, a good clean adventure through 4 planets, in hopes of sending the cute and fuzzy aliens home to the Purple Planet.
My 3.5 yr old son loved playing this game. It was easy for him to get what he needed to and Dora couldn't die. However, after playing for about 1/2 hr each night he quickly won the game and that was the end. I don't think he has played it since. It was definately too quick to beat.
Apparently I wasn't the only person looking for this game...I could only find it online. I bought this for my 4 year old who is always wanting to play PS2 with her older brother. It is perfect! I can clean the bathroom or fold laundry and she is fine. There is nothing that is too complicated for her to figure out (although it may take her a few trys). This was a great perchase for us!
This game is great for young Dora fans. Your child will help Dora go through the paths needed to move to the next level. It is easy to play. This game isn't as slow as some other EC rated games such as Elmo. There is some educational points in this game. I allow my child to play this as a reward - she loves it. She doesn't love it as much as the games she can't play (her brothers games) but loves it much more than no game =) Since there isn't many EC games out there - if you seen a game on the EC level - I recommend this!
This is a wonderful video game. It is entertaining and educational. The graphics are wonderful, the music is cute, and the story line is captivating. I recommend this game for all younger children.
My son loves Dora so I got this for him at Easter. He was 4.5 and had been playing a few other EC Playstation games like Sesame Street, Mickey Mouse, and Pooh maybe once a week for about 6 months. He really enjoyed this game and got the hang of it quickly, but finished it the first day and asked me "now what do I do?" He's gone back and re-played it a few times, but again finished it pretty quick so now it sits on the shelf. We'd have been better off renting it for a day or two from the video store than purchasing it.
I bought this for my 4 year old. Her older brother was always playing games and they were just too hard for her. Since this one was rated EC I thought I would give it a try. WOW did she love it. Is was easy enough for her to use the controls, but a little challenge in it too to keep her wanting more. She got so excited when she would reach a new level. It is just the the show.....very highly recommended!!!!
there are not many EC rated games for the Playstation 2. This is a great game for young ones as they learn about differant thins such as counting and problem solving. Highly reccomended!!
my son loves this game, but it takes forever. there is no "designated" path to take they kinda just walk around collecting jewels. it just takes longer to get to the next level because they go in circles. once you get into the next level the challenge increases just a little bit. its a really fun game though, great for a first playstation game.
I liked for a child 4 years old to follow It's easy enough for her not to get frustrated.I'm sure she'll tire of it soon enough .She's learned alot of functions all by herself.
