Doo Be Doo Wop Bop! by Take 6 (CD, Jan-1988, Reprise)

In my opinion, this is THE BEST Take 6 CD and it was also their first CD. I have loaned this CD to so many people who enjoy excellent musicianship and tight vocal harmonies. In fact, that's why I bought it on Ebay - the last time I loaned it out, it never came back to me! I couldn't stand not having this CD in my personal collection. I like to put on headphones and crank this one up loud. The vocals are amazing and the production is top notch! These guys were sooooooooo creative when they first got together. My wish is that this CD will be available on Ebay for a long time - because I plan on loaning it out over and over and over . . .

This is where it all started, baby! It's their best CD, in my opinion. If you love a capella and are also a Christian, you'll love this CD.

When we bought this CD in 1988 we didn't realize we'd be taking the title literally. We've probably taken 6 or more copies. We've given away many copies to friends and family. It contains some of the most beautiful a capella singing ever, with harmonies that are rich and full. The slower songs are soulful and moving, the more upbeat songs are inspirational and fun to sing along with. These are some really talented young men. Because of this album, we've also seen them in person several times. They're the best.
