Donkey Kong Jr. (Wide Screen) (Game & Watch, 1982)

Donkey Kong Jnr is one of 60 Game & Watch games released, the easiest way to buy these is on ebay, but it's also the most hazardous for those starting their collection. Many sellers claim to be unable to test them because they don't have batteries, beware as this usually means that the game doesn't work, some sellers are now selling fake boxes and instructions, which can be difficult to tell if you havn't got the original box to compare it to, check out some of the game & watch forums and look at the original boxes before bidding, often the fakes use different paper to the original (some even have spelling mistakes), but most are very hard to spot, also there are a small number of fake game & watch games around, but I have not seen any on ebay yet (it will only be a matter of time!), these fakes are very good, but compared side by side with the original are easy to spot.

My best advice is to do research into what you are buying, check out the forums, and also any shops near you that display games (in Australia there is one in Smith Street, Collingwood, Victoria), I don't know of any others with large displays of games & boxes, but there's also many forums with detailed photo's and lots of advice for those starting their collection.
