Maybe I am just disgruntled because I watched several other slow movies in the same week, but Domino was very disappointing. The previews had shown most of the action scenes. The rest of the movie can be erased because there was rarely even another entertaining scene. Good acting...Poor story line.
Keira Knightley portrays the larger than life adventures of the real Domino Harvey. In this original Tony Scott adventure, we take a glimpse into the action packed life of a real life bounty hunter. The script is tight and the cinematography is stylized in a way that seems appropriate for this movie. This movie shows the underbelly of the bounty hunter trade, and Keira Knightley plays a pretty tough Domino Harvey. Mickey Rourke does an excellent job of portraying Ed Martinez, Domino's bounty hunter boss), and Christopher Walken is terrific as a reality TV producer.
The real Domino Harvey was a technical consultant during production, but she was apparently unhappy with the way that the script portrayed her life as a hollywood fantasy. Domino was discussing creating a documentary to depict the real life of bounty hunters. Unfortunately, she died before the movie was released, and was never able to realize her documentary project.
This movie was panned when it was in the theaters, but I think it's definitely a movie worth watching. Mickey Rourke plays Dominos Bounty Hunter boss, and does an excellent job of playing a tough-guy bounty hunter. This movie provides plenty of action with a good script. I wholeheartedly recommend this movie!
This DVD was bought as a christmas present for my grandaughter, this is her favorite movie. I have a copy also and she would watch everytime she came to visit. I was so happy to be able to find it on ebay, she really loved it.
This movie really didnt do it for me. It was full of wierd/unnecessary scenes that just didnt fit (including a random drug trip). This movie had lots of nudity and sexual scenes, so if you were looking for a good action movie this should not be your pick!
Though I still think True Romance remains the best Tony Scott film ever.Domino ranks a very close second.Keira Knightly shows her true talent in this movie. As well as Mickey Rourke who is clearly underrated as the talented actor he is.Christopher Walken does a great job in his quick cameo.Even Monique does an impressing job in this film.Great script based loosely on a true story..sort of.Real people, fake story.Still,a great action packed film wtth an indie underground flair.A good time by all.Just a bit repetitive toward the end.
I liked this movie because it shows a girl can handle her own in a dominately man's field too. Keira Knightly does a great job as Domino Harvey a young woman entering the world of bounty hunters toting guns, knives, and nunchucks along the way. Mickey Rourke and Edgar Ramirez among others complete this die hard cast. I decided to buy this movie because it looked interesting..... it has comedy,a little love story, is action-packed and a good storyline. It ended up being a good choice.
I had ordered an on demand movie to watch, and the movie is exciting, fast paced, full of celebrity cameos. It is also very funny, and each character plays their roles perfectly. My favorite character was Choco, the crazy, quiet but sweet team member of the Bounty Hunters' crew. (I even named my fighting fish after him!) Overall, it is just worth the money if you want to be entertained
This movie was great! Worth every penny. You should have this in your collection.I love it when they have women that can be tuff as well as the males.Kiera Knightley really was exceptional in her performance! So was Mickey Rourke!
Hot actoin and she made the movie.the movie is not for family on the other hand it was a man movie.I would like to see her in another movie like this one and let her be the boss of the whole show.
I wouldn't necessarily say this was a bad movie, but it certainly was not what I was expecting. Knightley did an excellent job, as did her two leading men, but good acting does not mean good movie! It seems that this woman lead a very interesting life, and although this film tries to portray that, it doesn't do her justice.
A couple of good action scenes, most of which you've already seen in the previews, but as a whole, this movie moved a little too slow to keep me interested during the entire film.
This movie has a raw, grittiness to it. It has action but also has a decent storyline. Keira Knightley and Mickey Rourke did a good job, as did the rest of the cast. All-in-all, it was more of a man’s movie to me. Okay to watch the first time, but I don’t think I’ll rush to see it again.
