Jamey Johnson is the man love all his stuff. Voice lyrics music it has it all great album. Cant go wrong with this album. Nice to hear a great alabama man sing good ole country the way it was meant to sound

I bought this CD after hearing Jamey's latest CD. This one is his first and just as fantastic ! If you are a Waylon or George Jones fan you will love Jamey Johnson. Highly recommended!

If you love real country, this is it!!! Talented singer/songwriter goes from breaking your heart to knowing how to turn it up and jam!! Definitely worth every penny!

The CD "the dollar" is just awesome. The song choices for the album are great. It has the whole spectrum, slow songs like "Lead Me Home" and "My Saving Grace" to fast songs like "Redneck Side of Me" and "Rebelicious." The lyrics on the album are insightful. I love the line in "My Saving Grace": "...daddy kept the devil off my back by taking up his time.." Lyrics like this really paint a picture lyricly. The whole album is this way- start to finish the album is a 10! Everything about the album just makes you want to play it over and over. Trust me, this one won't leave your stereo! Turn it on, crank that stuff up, and you'll be ready to party!

If your not familiar with Hank Williams Jr. or Dave Allen Coe, buy this album. Jamey Johnson mixes it up a few classic country, waltz-type songs with some really rockin', fast-paced southern rock songs. His deep voice, along with his style of music and song writting make this album one of my best buys ever! He exemplifies the real country sound that gets drowned out by some mainstream sounds. If you enjoy classic country with a little rock, this is THE album for you!

Many people have forgotten about Jamey Johnson sence his first release. This is his first albumn. He still has the same sound, but the old is not as dark. "Lead Me Home", the last track on the albumn is one of my favorite songs by the young musician. "The Dollar", the albumns cover song reminds me of the hard working father I had growing up. Every song in-between has a good feel and are all songs I can relate to. I hope every J.J. fan will enjoy this albumn as much as I have.

i have his new cd that lonesome song.i decided to try his old one.absolutely fricking awesome!!!!i would recommend it for hard core who appreciate the old stuff

This is a great CD. It reminds me of the music I grew up with. If you like Waylon,David allen Coe or George Jones you will love Jamey Johnson!!!

Jamey Johnson is a great country singer that is truly "country"... he has the 'twang' in his voice, and the lyrics are truly old country! Old George Jones and Willie and Waylon fans will probably like him a lot! We do!

Like most people I was introduced to Jamey Johnson with his song "In Color" and I bought his cd "That lonesome Song" and really enjoyed it, I started looking around for any other cds of his and found "The Dollar" This is a collection of GREAT country songs, not only the title cut "The DOllar, but also Flying Silver Eagle", Ray Ray's Juke Joint, "Rebelicious" and "Lead me home" are incredible country songs, Jamey sings of heartbreak, hell raising, religion, family and regret. With all the watered down pop crap on the radio, these days this is a wonderful find for any tradional country music lover

I love the flow of the music, the songs just make you want to turn the music up and sing along. I can't wait until he comes out with his third album.

Jamie has that voice that brings me back to a time when real men sang country songs about issues and substance that mattered to me, that I could relate to. Look at the guy - no pretty boy here - he is all country. These eleven tracks deliver messages from the soul of a man that feels what he is saying - and you will too. The "Possum" George Jones appears on "Keeping up with the Jonesin" and this pair is natural together. At times I think I hear Waylon, which is a complement to both performers. If you like Jamie's other efforts - you will love this one.

Found what i was looking for quickly. Ordered with no problem. Was a little slow to receive with a two to five day delivery..I wanted it right then..Sounds really great, Jamey Sounds like he is right beside me in my truck as I drive, or as I grill out with my friends.
I bought this CD here because I was tired of driving around town from store to store and not being able to find this CD.. My mom told me to try EBAY..

I really like this cd. i can listen to the whole cd without skiping a song. it got a lot of great songs on it. like Ray Ray's Juke Joint and Flying Silver Eagle.
