First of all, this book was written in the early eighties and published in 1984 by HP Books and was written by Mildred and Colleen Seeley. It covers Bisque head dolls, usually with a composition body..There are a couple of things on all bisque. At this time, Millie(as she was known to the millions who loved her) was one of the foremost authorities on antique dolls.. Many others have come later. It was because of Mil Seeley that thousands of us now, make reproduction dolls. And the top most honor in Doll making is to win a "Millie"(kinda like an Oscar of the Doll world).
This book covers not only costuming, but talks about preserving doll heritage, wigs, shoes, stocking, underwear. 160 pages. Very few pages do not sport a picture and almost all are in full color. From the most simple to the most elegant outfits on both German and French dolls, this book is a must in any Doll collector or Doll maker's library.
I am very fortunate to have an autographed copy of this book.
