Dogz (Nintendo DS, 2006)

My daughter loves her Dogz game. she has been asking for it since Christmas when she got Her nintendo DS. so she is very pleased and so am I.

My son really wanted this game, so we bid and won it. He loves it! He created a dog, picked a name and takes care of his virtual pet. Now my eleven year old son is fighting with his four year old sister over who gets to play with "Duke" the virtual dog.

Bought this for my daughter, She loves it, I have to track here game time or she will be playing all day! This game does not interact like Nintendo's Nintendogs. you play a boy or girl that is raising a puppy.

It is very cute for kids to have their own dogs to be responsible for. Also, the dogs are adorable and my child has every breed.

I recommend this game to dog-loving video game players everywhere. The point of this game is to raise your puppy for 3 weeks. After this, you unlock "Always Together Mode" which is a puppy free play. In the normal mode however, your job is to take care of and train your puppy. In the beginning, you choose what kind of dog you would like: Its gender (boy or girl), demeanor (energetic or relaxed), and its size (small or large). Then you watch a small cutscene and pick your puppy. If you don't like the breeds in the first shop, you can continuously switch between pet shops. After that, you can train your puppy any way you please. In "Always Together Mode", you can do what you want when you want. No events take place, no one is there to talk to, just you and your puppy. Everything is unlocked as well. However in this mode, you can't take walks.

They can create & care for their puppy. It also allows
voice command. Instead of just using finger controls, you give
a verbal command and puppy responds. I do not like that
you cant have two separate players playing on same game, not meaning
at same time, but just in general. My 2 daughters have to play
from one saved game....they can't both create a puppy and have two
separate player games, like other DS games.

This was a really good game for my granddaughter..She has been asking for a puppy, tried to explain the work involved..Purchased this game for here to try...This game is a simulation in a virtual environment taking care of your pet..Training, feeding, walking is just a few things you need to do with your pet in this game..I think this is a fun game with a lot of teaching and learning real life of taking care of your pet..

My girls love Dogz it's like having a real puppy to take care of, I recommend it for kids to use before actually getting a real dog to see if they are willing to do the work in having a real pet.

My daughter was really wanting this game for her birthday, and she loves it. This game is her,she loves animals and this game isn't difficult for her. I know she will still play this one even after other presents have become a bore. Thank you.

My daughter got it and LOVED it!!!! She plays it almost everyday, for at least an hour!!! First u go to the "Pet Shop" and u pick out a Dog!!! Pick your favorite!! Then u take it home and u have to teach the dogs its name!! The u can teach it to sit, lie down, and to go to bed!! After u teach that stuff u can teach your dog other tricks but I will leave that to u!!!
After u have it for 30 days u well... it is a surprize, but u will love it!!! Trust me u can still keep the dog, u go into "Always Together" mode. That was not the surprize!!
I HIGHLY recommend it to any animal lover!!!

A fun game for younger kids that can read. The characters are funny. Have to be able to read what you're suppose to make your dog do.

I love this game because it has a fun and safe learning for kids of all ages it even has traffic safety.I decided to buy this for my child and they liked it from the time the got it.

Dogz Ninetendo DS game is a great game for children to play. The game teaches responsibilty on how to care,learn tricks, and enter contest. How to care for animals and to love them. Children love this game so much it is hard for them to stop playing it. I would recommend this for any child to play.

This is my daughter's favorite game and she has 12. She plays it all the time. She is seven and her friends like to borrow it as well. My only regret is that she plays with it more than her real dog!!

Cute...But after playing CATZ and HAMSTERZ It sure was not what I expected. It's like a cartoon in wich you are either a little boy or girl, living at home with Mom and Dad. My 5 year old loves it because you can choose to pick up the dog and carry it...but there is alot of reading that you have to do. So he can't play it without help. I'm not quite sure what age group they had in mind when thay came up with this one. I'll stick with Nintendogs.
