Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan: Aggression (DVD, 2006)

This is a great video! We own a bulldog and have been really concerned about him being aggresive. In this video is an example of a bulldog owner with the same exact situations that we are facing. Using the techniques that are shown has HELPED enormously. It's a great video with so many examples....we also got the book...I know this sounds like a pitch..but my wife watched the video and said after reading the book too it just helped.

To understand how problems come about in dogs... this is the perfecr DVD to get! And I thoroughly recommend the others by Cesar Millan as well. For behaviourists as well as the average dog owner this is a MUST! Cesar informs us in the nicest way that we are all the problem.. there is alomst NO dog that is to blame for it's behaviour. Truly outstanding!

His "dog psychology" is fantastic. He truly understands and is able to communicate that a dog NEEDS to be calm and submissive to the human. AND he demonstrates how to accomplish this immediately by being calm and assertive "pack leader". It was a revelation to learn that the pet owner is the problem, not the dog! I have personally walked five dogs now, that the owners, my friends, were shocked to see. Every dog owner should watch the Dog Whisperer!

I really liked the DVD, it gives you insights about dogs. They might be part of the family but they are not people, they are dogs and they do need an "alpha" leader. I make sure I am the first one out and in the door.
I mix their dry food with my hand so they have my scent. It's a lot of hard
work if you want a good dog. One thing I don't agree with him is that
some dogs have traits that do come from the breed, for example I have one
that's part shepherd and she'll try to herd instinctively, she'll push at
our calves to makes us go faster to the door, the other is part pit bull and
wants to be alpha and she can be pretty aggressive, she'll even attack the other dogs. Anyway I wouldn't mind to have Cesar give me some personal
pointers. Our Lab is easy, our Chow is mulish like a teenager, and the pitt
is exhausting still a work in progress but all loving.

I have watched Mr. Millan's TV shows for quiet sometime. The DVDs re-enforce some of the things that I had already learned. His "gift" of connecting with dogs is so good because it doesn't involve any type of physical violence to restrain the dogs. He re-directs their attention and energy. There isn't anything complicated about what he does. The beauty of all his instructions is in their simplicity.
This DVD gives you very definite things to look for and ultimately leaves the work and direction up to the owner. It also reminds us that we are the ones that are suppose to be in control and that our pets and companions really are dogs and not small children or babies.
Dogs are so much happier once they learn what we expect of them and then they can become our best friends.

Unbelievable! His techniques work and I have had almost immediate success with my dog. What's more, it was very simple.

I bought this dvd to help me with some issues I was having. Although, it was
not specific to my dog's case, it did give me some good tips. I have a few of Milan's dvds and I watch them several times. Each time I watch, I gain new insights or something I missed before. A great dvd.

Good information on aggressive dog behavior. Encouraged me to enroll in a dog obedience class, which really helped.

I like his step by step insturction with the dog owner on how to solve various bad behavior issues with their dogs. I bought it because our Jack Russell Terrier was being a terriorist in our house hold my husband threatened to get rid of him, this DVD saved my little dogs happy home. I also enrolled him in a class at the local pet store.

This is a great DVD! Cesar Millan is amazing with dogs and he teaches pet owners how to be the "pack leader" and gain control over any bad behavior.

I'm going to give it a good rating because of who Cesar Millan is and what he does for dogs. I ordered it but never received it. The person I ordered it from stiffed me never would return my emails or any type of couumnication.

i love this learning tool and am very sorry i never recieved this item.
i want to learn how to control my dog and with this as a learning tool it will help me to do that.

It has been over a month since purchasing and I HAVE NOT received the merchandise. I tried to contact the seller and have had no response.

I really liked the different stories on agressive dogs. Needed help with my dog. She's very agressive around other dogs, not all dogs, but many of them. Will get another leash and try walking her on a shorter leash and one that comes up higher on her neck. Sometimes she listens to me, other times forget it....she wants to tear the heart right out of the approaching dog. I think this dvd will help me to control my dog better. I desided to buy the dvd to help me control my dog's agressive behavior. I think the Dog
