The front cover, immediately drew my attention, claiming to have over 1000 solutions to pet problems and endorsed by top vets, trainers and breeders.

The chapter I immediately zoned in on was entitled HOT SPOTS. Without giving their secrets away, I was quite surprised to see that an ordinary household product could help promote healing of Hot Spots. They also go on to tell you WHEN IT IS TIME TO SEE A VET. So you're not playing the guessing game.

Covers many more topics, from A - Z (Aging, Car Chasing, Dung Eating, Food Allergies to Vision Problems).

THIS EXCELLENT RESOURCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I bought "The Doctors Book of Home Remedies for Dogs and Cats by Prevention Health Books" several weeks ago for under $10.00. I had bought one in 1995 for about $40.00 and loved it. I loaned it to so many friends, I lost tract of it.

The book is extremely well written and easy to follow. The index covers almost every possible subject relative to owning dogs or cats. From how to choose, care for, feed, and maintain a healthy pet. I especially love the "obedience & problem solving" topics as well as how to determine if a symptom (or ailment )can be addressed at home or if a vet needs to be contacted. This book has eliminated many obedience problems with my pets and saved me many dollars for vets & obedience training professionals. The tips are practical & provided by top professionals in the relative fields nationwide. Every dog/cat owner should have this book.

We have used several of the home remedies in this book with satisfactory results. Plus, these remedies are cheaper than a trip to the vet and purchasing an expensive prescription. We had this book for several years, through several breeds of dogs -- Labs, Basenjis and now a French Bulldog and rescued mix. The remedies have worked for all of them and also relieved us of anxiety when we have discovered that some of the symptoms are not as serious as first thought.

Should be a must on the bookshelf for any pet owner.

i have 5 dogs and 6 cats.this book covers both.i like the ability to use remedies at home,i reduce the number of vet visits and the money for the vet.

Is a great book and I love the Prevention Articles of Books and Magazines. Would recommend this book for your pets needs.

This book is very informative and explains what to do in a user-friendly, easy to understand manner.
I have other such books and they do not come close to this book.

I bought this book because I have lots of pets who seem to always get either hurt or sick over the weekend when our vets offices are closed so I wanted a way to ease their pain and illness until I can get them in to see the doctor Monday mornings.

This book is full of information about your pets. I do believe it can save a person lots of money by not having to go to the vet. I purchased it because our dog goes thru cycles of constant itching. We are currently following the suggestions given to take care of that.

The book is a good price. This book has a lot of good information. I bought one years ago and now I'm buying one for my mother and sister. The books are in very good shape. The seller has a wide veriaty of books. You need to check them out!
