Doctor Who: Planet of the Dead (DVD, 2009)

A MUST for any Doctor Who fan! Great fun! Super Special Effects and as always an interesting story. The "Making Of" is even worth watching.

I fell in love with Doctor Who (new version) last year and had to purchase all the episodes since its return in 2005.
It's what true science-fiction is not to mention hilarious and adorable.

Dr Who is a pleasant Sci Fi offering in a time when horror and violence fill the typical Hollywood shluck movies and tv shows. No blood orgy as people are slaughtered by the thousand in Hollywood's best efforts to shock and terrorize the audience. Planet of the Dead is David Tennant's last feature in the saga before he hangs it up and goes on to other things. I think Tennant may be the best Dr Who of them all as he simply seems to be a natural for the role-much like Tom Baker. I heard it got a few bad reviews so I thought I'd check it out to see if they were right. I think they were wrong. This is British Sci Fi at its best. If only Hollywood would learn from this.
