Doctor Detroit (DVD, 2005)

while i was trying to buy some dvd's my internet shut off. i was in the middle of filling out your forms. when i went back to your site later, it tried to charge me for 2 dvd's, i couldn't find where to take one of them off so i just went to amazon and bought it from them.

This is one of those good 'ole movies from way, way back. While watching it after some many years, I realized that when the Players Ball scene came on, I was step for step with "THE DOCTOR"

SUPER FUNNY, NICE MUSIC. JAMES BROWN SINGS. A LOT OF UNKNOWN NOW VERY FAMOUS ACTORS IN THIS MOVIE.I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This is a very funny movie. I originally saw it on tv (I guess it was edited).
It never dawned on me that it was "R" rated. However it's a classic, and the late James Brown's performance was fantastic!

I have always loved this movie. I am from the old school and as you are aware those type of movies are certainly difficult to find. I was please to see that ebay carried this particular title. The video is clear and without flaws. Good transaction.

I like the movie becouse it's funny and I had watched it when I was younger. the actors were great and funny ,and I bought it becouse I had been wanting to get in on dvd becouse I have it on vhs and now I have it on both dvd and vhs

strange mix of movie with Dan {BLUES BROTHERS} Akroyd.

Great Movie and if you like Dan's Movies you will love this one.
Dan is Professor Clifford and jogging one day a Pimp name Smooth along with his four beautiful prostitutes are stop at a stop signal as Clifford continues to jog in place. This Pimp in trouble with Big Mama and owe her a grand sum of money. Smooth need a sucker/a fall guy; you guess it it's Clifford. Accidently Smooth and the girl see Cliffford at a fancy resturant and invite him over. Between all the drinkings, drugs (which Clifford had no ideal what is happening)and the girls to distract him; Smooth makes him a partner. Of course Smooth the character he is skip town leaving Clifford to hold the fort down.

Clifford's father's University is broke and waiting for a large donation to help the nearly bankrupt school. Clifford must protect the business both the girls and obtain the donation for the school. Dan run amok in a disguise and his character requires a change of vocal sound; add the right touch to conceal his true identity. Clifford's new friends (the girls) including Fran Drescher (from the TV Program The Nanny) all manages to escapes Big Mom and Clifford gets the Donation for the University and married the Nanny Fran all well ends well.

This movie is silly, entertaining, whimsical movie with great characters and a terrific story to tell. I saw this movies many, many years ago and it still gives me the same reaction of laughter and enjoyment. A must see so either purchase (you can see it over and over again, each time the same enjoyment) or rent it. I rather buy it here on Ebay!!!

This movie showcases the talent on Dan Aykroyd. its a fun movie that will make you smile. Plus the ladies in the movie are nice to see as well. you will also see Fran Dresher way before her show The Nanny.

When growing up in the 70's and the 80's, I watched the movie along with my family with the approval from them since it was R RATED. I have no complaints regards to this movie..

People in the ebay world needs to watch this video if you all want to laugh.

I watched this movie years ago. And it is one anyone who likes comedy would want in there collection.

This is a very funny movie I fell in love with this movie when it first came out and rented it. About 10 years ago I found it on VHS and bought it.I was thinking about the movie a few months ago and wondering if it was out on DVD.I just looked online and found it,but didn't like the price they wanted. I then research it more and found on eBay for half the cost. I have to say this was one of my favored movies back in 1983. There is a lot of stars in this move such as James Brown and many more............

I enjoyed the movie when I grew up and always wanted to own it for my personal library this should be consider one of the comedy classic's.

This movie is a laugh a minute. It is crazy! It is also zany, and it is has such a great cast. i like Dan Akroyd, Donna Dixon, Fran Drescher, T.K. Carter, Howard Hessman, and the lady who plays "mom". These are truly classic actors, great actors, and this is a laugh a minute!

An 80's classic that belongs in every wacky film buff's library. The clothes alone are worth watching this film and the cars are terrific.
