A great family show
) 
i like the fact that it teaches people to work with what they have, it might not be much but they had to struggle everyday. not knowing if they had enough food from day to day. i seen this movie when i was in jr. high school, i'm glad i got the chance to buy the dvd. it's a great movie, i have watched my dvd about 10 times since i bought it.

Personally, I thought this remake was full of flaws. Not very well edited, directed, or emotionally convincing. But I bought the movie for my 11 year old son who had read the book as a school project and he loved it. He's probably watched it five or six times in the month we've owned it.

WELL I GUESS I DIDN'T READ VERY WELL WHEN I PURCHASED THIS MOVIE, NOT THAT IT
WASN'T GOOD IN A LOT OF WAYS, BUT I PERFER THE OLD ORIGINAL ONE WITH CICILY
TISON IN IT, AND I PURCHASED THE NEWER VERSION, IT WAS ON THE ORDER OF THE
FIRST ONE, WITH SOME MINOR CHANGES.
IT WAS STILL A GOOD MOVIE THOUGH, BUT I HAD ONLY SEEN THE FIRST ONE UP UNTIL
NOW, AND CICILY TISON JUST CAN'T BE BEAT. THANKS!!
