) I think this book will be read by children for many years to come. As an adult, I too love this book...and the movie. I relate this book to another Disney book, Bambi. Your child will love it!

I bought this book because our son is CRAZY about TLK movie and I thought this would be a way to let him see all his favorite characters but not sit in front of the TV so much. It did work but that means my husband and I have to read him this book quite a lot, and it's a pretty long book. But I was expecting that - the reason I bought it is that I knew it would be thorough. The only thing I don't like about it is that in paraphrasing the events of the movie, they inevitably have to leave out some dialogue and scenes. Otherwise, it's a great book.

Thought it was bigger. The add made the book appear bigger than it actually is. Thought my grandson would experience a real lion king, bigger than life.
