Dinosaur a Good Concept but Found Challenging

I always love watching Disney's Dinosaur...the prehistoric tale is just amazing, both graphically and in its storyline. Disney had big shoes to fill in trying to translate that excellence into a piece of computer software.
Admittedly, at the time of its release, I was impressed with the graphics of the PC version. (Today of course, we laugh at how primitive the graphics are, but back then, it was prety cutting edge.) That said, I found the game-playing to be rather difficult. That may be just me, but I found it to be choppy and thus frustrating.
Essentially, you're facing extinction and have to work your way to the safety of the nesting grounds. Aladar stars, though you'll also find Flia, Zini and others. If you've seen the movie, you know the challenges that await you: raptors, meteors, and the general day-to-day need for survival.
As far as game play and the concept, it was good. Puzzle-solving is teamed with basic battle techniques, but for me, it was too frustrating to prove entertaining. Knowing Disney's offerings, I'm going to assume it was me and not the norm, so I give this software a Good rating for its attention to detail (at the time of its release) and concept.
