Reviews I love this CD. I saw this on broadway and I loved the show. I recently also purchased the piano music that goes with this cd. The songs are generally upbeat, and even if they are not, they are enjoyable. Review ID: 10000000007972459 Was this review helpful? Report this review A wonderful performance! I bought it because I saw the show, had the cassette tape and lost it. I wanted it on CD. Review ID: 10000000004159494 Was this review helpful? Report this review Review created: 06/12/07 by: Beauty and the Beast is a classic Disney movie that I'm sure every child 4 and older must know about. I have yet to see the show on Broadway, but by judging from this cast album the show is bound to be exciting, atleast thanks to it's score. All of the songs that you remember from the movie are included with additional songs added to create a full length Broadway show. However the added songs fit in so nicely that you may find yourself thinking they were originally part of the movie as well. Overall the Broadway Cast is good. Belle's voice has an odd quality to it at times, almost as if she's tyring to sound too "cartooney" and I think the Beast tends to overact a bit. If you are curious about this show I'd still recommend that you give the soundtrack a listen...ofcourse you can also try the London cast album, which I have yet to hear. Report this review This is a classic example of when not to open ones mouth. Yep the ole prince pre-beast really does him self in and you can pciture it without seeing it. Emotional expression, musicality and production makes this one top drawer. Review ID: 10000000003080310 Was this review helpful? Report this review |
