Disgaea: Hour of Darkness (PlayStation 2, 2003)

This game was amazing. I played final fantasy tactics long ago, and I played it alot. Since then, I was unable to find a strategy RPG that was anywhere near as good as it until I played Disaea. Disgaea is actually better than Final fantasy tactics for a few reasons; Disgaea allows you to level your characters to level 9999; Disgaea has the item world which is a great way of adding extra gameplay time; Disgaea has extra levels that are very difficult to beat and are akin to emerald and ruby weapons from final fantasy 7; The storyline for Disgaea is funny and worth paying attention to, something I find to be a rare quality in games these days.

Sure you can basically only get it used on ebay for $50+, but it is worth every penny!
