The Disconnected Generation by Josh McDowell (2000)
I think every good parent worries about making mistakes with their children. When they are little, they are generally very compliant with us. Long about age 13 the situation changes and the kids who once worshipped the ground we walked on have their own mind about nearly everything and their making of their own decisions is sometimes rebellious. Its good that in this book, Mr. McDowell shows us that God designed us all to stand on our own two feet and we can participate in that learning process without being afraid or over-reacting.
As a Christian person, I make lots of mistakes and sin like us all. See my feedback? But, just as God has brought us all along from infancy hoping for a deep relationship with us, he does the same with our children. It helps me to think of him loving our kids more than we do and as their grandfather.
