Dirt Devil Vac 'n' Mop Stick Cleaner

With four teenagers, two adults and a LARGE furry dog we needed something that was good for cleaning up those little "Not Me, I didn't do it" messes around the house. Needless to say, we've only had our Dirt Devil Vac 'n' Mop for two months and we've already given it a thorough workout! It passed the test with flying colors. While I wouldn't recommend it for deep cleaning, it's been perfect for those daily drink spills and muddy paw prints on the kitchen floor. It also works great on my hardwood floors for picking up dust, dirt and dog hair. Biggest downfall is the battery life. It does have to be recharged often. Other than that, I highly recommend this Vac 'n' Mop.

As far as durability goes, I have had it for about six months now and it is still going strong. I use it on average 4-5 times a week (sometimes every day) so it has had quite a bit of use. The suction is powerful enough to pick up anything I have yet encountered on my floors, including rather large dog kibble! (This is, of course, assuming that you remembered to charge the unit!)

This is actually my second dirt devil vac n mop. I actually wore my other one out. This unit cleans great and very easy to use. The only thing that I can say is that the unit is plastic and does not stand up to hard use. It has a tendancy to break little pieces that do not affect the way the unit works.

I am very happy with my Dirt Devil Vac n Mop for the price. It has a powerful suction and I really like how the head pivots to get around those hard to reach spots. It's light weight and easy to clean after using - just dump the dirt cup, clean the filter, and throw away the pad. This product is not meant to be in place of a good wet mopping or scrubbing, but for spot mopping or quick clean ups it's ideal. There are other products out there that I believe do a better job at scrubbing and polishing, but they also come with a much bigger price tag and are heavier to lift. If you are looking to keep the dust down by minimizing your sweeping, have hard wood floors or tile where sweeping dirt gets lost in the cracks or grout, and want a tool that will spot clean, this is the machine. One thing it does not advertise is it is not made for wet pickup, only dry. But the pads work well and soak up a lot, that this is not a problem for me. The hanging loop on the handle is designed perfectly to hang on the wall where it stays in my mud room and now I'm always "Zip - Zip" with the vacuumm part of the machine when the kids and hubby are in and out of the house... tracking in that darn dirt. Great machine for the price - I'm a satisified customer.
