Dirt Devil M110008 Upright Cleaner

I bought this sweeper yesterday 2-21-08. I wanted something better than average. This was one of the higher priced ones at the store. It's easy to assemble and I love the color! I owned a Dirt Devil Vision prior to this one. I really liked it. As anything ages it lost power and finally the brush wouldn't turn. I expected something more when I bought this one. Looking at the model it looked like it had more bells and whistles. The suction is pretty good. The sweeper is heavy and I have two flights of steps to heave it up and down. The rotating brush for steps doesn't turn when used. I was really looking forward to using it. I took it off and put it in the closet. I used the regular brush. I caught some fringe off my dining room rug in it, and had to replace the belt. (This is on the first time running it) I NEVER had to replace the belt on my old one. I'm hoping things get better, and I need to take stock in some belts. They just don't make things like they use to.
