Directv RC23 Remote Control

I bought this item to have an extra remote to change channels from another room. It works flawless, just like the OEM remote that came with my Directv system. These remotes have proven to be tough and reliable.

Ordered this remote after my 14 month old made the last one disappear. It works and functions just as good as the original, which came with the control box. Would order another, if she every hides another remote.

This is a fine remote, until you try to program it. Let me break it down

Pros
+ slick design
+ button layout
+ range (works everywhere I have tried)

Cons
- will not control my TV (RCA 42 inch tube screen)
- still will not control my TV (it really pisses me off)
- its not the easiest remote to program

all in all, it is nice, except it doesn't work with my tv

I have had Directv for over 6 months and love the remotes they provide. They are easy to use and have lots of options.

This is a wonderful product from DirecTv. This remote has a seemingly endless code library and also can search for codes if your device is not on the list! Fits well in your hand and the batteries last forever. I have two kids that are hard on remotes and I have yet to see one fail under these harsh conditions. These are extremely backwards compatible so I recommend one even for an older receiver.
