Dinner with a perfect stranger was written by David Gregory. It is about a man named Nick Cominsky. Here is a man who like You in me, busy in our own little world trying to get hold of the American dream. An invitation is given to him for dinner. Not just any invitation either but dinner with the Creator of the world, Jesus Christ. Nick goes only because he thinks some one is playing a joke on him. When he meets Jesus he got more then he bargin for. A great read. A story line that make you think about your own faith or lack of. It was very cleaver written. a very unique book. I would highly recommend it to any one. A great stocking stuffer for the ones you love.

  MUST HAVE EVANGELISM TOOL

I have been involved in evangelistic ministries for over 20 years and served as youth pastor at our church. In both cases I found this book to be a wonderful tool as a non-threatening, easy to read and understand tool for those who have questions about Christianity. I believe just about every question imaginable is dealt with in an easy to understand, non-pushy way. Also, watching the movie (and reading the book) supplies great examples about how to effectively answer questions and share your faith. I definately recommend this one!

David Gregory's view of what it would be like to sit down with Christ is probably something we've all wondered about - what would we say if given this opportunity. I must say his insight gave me a new perspective in ways I'd never imagined. It's a thoroughly entertaining book - so much so that I bought it's sequel as well. Very well written. I couldn't put it down - matter of fact, I didn't until I finished it.

I had already read this book when I purchased it. I loved it, finding it simple enough in context for immediate understanding and yet deep enough to catch, and hold, your interest. It answered many questions of unbelievers or new believers. I purchased this copy for my son and have since purchased other copies for other friends.
Excellent.

This was a unique presentation of the Person of Jesus. He becomes real to the main character -- and therefore, to the reader. The dialog is real life and easy to relate too, most of the time. There is some discussion of other faith-based groups and why they ultimately fall short. The information given is well researched, but some might feel it is more critique than just historic example. The opinion would be in the mind's eye of the reader.

I personally enjoyed the book and would recommend it. I liked even more the Sequel, A Day with a Perfect Stranger, in which the wife of the man in the first book herself encounters Jesus, unaware of the who he is.

This is an easy, quick read so that appeals. I picked up the book of a friend and though it was a book I would find fascinating. I wasn't disappointed.

This book was absolutely delightful. I intend to use it as an outreach tool with friends who just won't hear any more from me about the gospel. It is an excellent description of who Jesus wants to be in your life! It is written for any level of belief or understanding.

We as yet have not received this book - it was paid for on Dec. 24,2007. We have emailed the seller twice and started a dispute regarding this matter. If you could do anything to help, it would be much appreciated.

  Dinner With A Perfect Stranger

Excellent book for a one day read. My wife liked it so much she bought several copies from Ebay and also his other book, "Day With A Perfect Stranger." I don't like to read, but I read the book and enjoyed it. I look forward to reading his other book when it arrives from her Ebay purchase. Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life, was crucified and died on the cross, was buried and up from the grave he arose 3 days later and is our Lord and Saviour! Through Him is the only way to Heaven!

THIS IS A FANTASTIC BOOK. The theology is solid, the writing is like people talk to each other, and I have given several copies to friends as I think it answers questions with incredibly non-=professional church language. One of the best I have ever read AB, MTh, DD

A must read for all Christians and anyone seeking the truth. Not only does the story line bring tears to ones' eyes, the questions and answers strike a cord with many. It is a book that you will want to read again and again, getting something new out of it each time.

Recommended for age group 10 on up!

After bidding on several listings of this book I was delighted to win a bid at the price I promised myself I wouldn't exceed. I bought the book because a trusted friend recommended it to me. This book could have a wide range of readers. I loved the way Jesus of Nazareth answers skeptical Nick's questions truthfully but with compassion, clarity and a bit of humor. The book is short, easily read in one sitting and extremely interesting. Worth more than I paid! Highly recommend it to ages 10 on up.

What a WONDERFUL book! You won't put it down once
you start reading. I'm not sure how well VERY
conservative Christians will feel about Jesus
having a glass of wine, but I had no problems
with it. It was very Spiritually uplifting.
It had humor, sadness, joy, suspense, everything
you enjoy in a good read.

  Dinner With a Perfect Stranger
Review created: 09/06/06

I like this book because it is such a wonderful answer to the questions that many people have about faith in Christ as compared to belief in world religions. It is ingenious and clever in it's approach - a young man gets an invitation to have dinner with Jesus and has all the reactions any normal person would have - Is this a gimmick from a church? Is this a joke by my friends? etc. The thoughts and conversations are witty, frank, sarcastic, honest, heartfelt, you name it! Very realistic! And besides that, the answers are good theology!! A rare mix! Too often, today, we try so hard to not offend anyone, we never get around to the truth! But this book is truthful but not (in itself) offensive.
I bought it because I am a Chaplain at a Retirement community and we are using this book for a book discussion. Yes, with 70 to 90 year olds! But it could just as readily be used in a high school. It is that current! (And so are our residents!) I am looking forward to an opportunity to give it away to someone who has these questions - or to being able to converse with them more openly because I've read this book!
