This has become my favorite cookbook (and I have several, including antique ones). These are great, money-saving recipes that no family today can do without. I bought this for my son and his new wife for their wedding last month. I have tried several of these recipes and highly recommend both the French Onion and Broccoli Cheese soups, the Chicken Pot Pie is excellent as well (just made it again tonite for dinner). Truly a wonderful cookbook, has other great recipes for beauty products at the end as well.

I am so excited about this book. I purchased two cookbooks around the same time and I absolutely love this one. It includes so much more than I thought it would. The recipes are good and she has so many other tips that are funny and very useful. A must for anyone wanting to budget their household expenses

This cook book is filled not only with good recipes for food real people would actually eat, but also lots of good tips on planning, purchasing and storing food so as to get the most for your money. If you have been at this for awhile, or are new to making the most of your money you will find some good information, written in an interesting way. In addition to the standard contents you would expect there is a section on gift baskets and mixes; cleaning hints and homemade solutions and even recipes for making your own cosmetics. A great addition to your kitchen library.
