Digital Fortress by Dan Brown (2004, Abridged, Compact Disc)

Having read two other Dan Brown books I found this one somewhat disappointing. While the bases for the book was good, I found it to be rather predicable. The character did not draw me in as his other books had. Even with saying all that I still felt it was worth buying the audio book for my son to use on his drive to work.

Read the abridged version. Overall a good abridgment. Also read Deception Point. Similar in intrigue and style. Good government thrillers!

As with all Dan Brown books, Digital Fortress is great. If you like deception point you will like this government consipiracy book.

Bought this one to take on a long auto trip, and it did make the miles fly by. Good characters, compelling mystery with several surprises. The ending chapter makes me think he was getting paid by the word, as he takes a dozen pages to say, "and they lived happily ever after", and he employs the usual devices of outrageously secret government entities and psychotic assassins, but it's fun.

Take the plot line of all his other boks and change the names and you have Digital Fortress..................................................................................

suspense mystery, code breaking and the reader on the Audio version had interesting voice inflection all rolled into a love story. This book will keep you interested until the ending is revealed

I love to listen to audio books while at work. Dan Brown books are the best and really suck you into the story.

I've listened to other books by Dan Brown and this was not a disappointment. The price was great. ebay is a great way to buy. I just wish I would have discovered this sooner.
