Digital Diaries
I like the the idea and the reality of this book. It seems with the internet that everyone is putting their personal lives in front of the public. While usually an interesting idea, it can quickly become banal and boring. The normality of most of our lives does not lead to good "content" as they say. However, this book avoids that by becoming an enjoyable voyeuristic experience, albeit with the authors complete permission and encouragement. Her documentation of her life and loves becomes a visual record for the rest of us to peruse, judge, criticize or enjoy.
My only complaint is that the book and images are small. I like photography books to be large and grand. I believe the author's purpose was to present a visual diary experience in all ways and thus the small format. For that reason I agree the form factor is correct and a good choice. I give it two thumbs up!
