Different Seasons by Stephen King (1982, Hardcover)

If you are a Stephen King fan, then this book is for you. A collection of 4 of his best short stories, 3 of which went on to become blockbuster films. "The Body" was the inspiration for the film 'Stand By Me', and the film 'Shawshank Redemtion' is based on the story "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption". "Apt Pupil" was also attempted as a film, but not to much avail. The fourth story, "Breathing Lessons" is also a great King story.

This collection of four stories is one of King's best. While the first three can be seen on the movie screen, reading them in print is much more satisfying. Definitely worth it!

This book was probably one of the 1st I've read. I loved the short story format and it really opens your eyes into the kind of books Stephen King has become so famous for, only on a smaller scale of short stories.
