Diesel and Dust by Midnight Oil (CD, Oct-1990, Columbia USA)

This CD is just as good as I remember when it was first released. DEFINITELY, brings back memories of California!! If you get past Beds are Burning, you'll really enjoy the words to The Dead Heart and Sell My Soul.

I liked the message of the songs but some of the songs are a little slow at times. I loved the beat on Bullroarer especially.

Fans of Men at Work and other 80s bands will definitely love this CD. You may be familiar with their song "Beds are Burning," which is why I bought this CD. I have not listened to or purchased their other albums, but I would definitely buy them based on this CD.

I haven't heard more than twenty seconds of track 2 yet. I bought this simply because I love the title song, track 1, and it wasn't available as it is on this CD on either itunes or at BMG. It could be the greatest album of all time, but I haven't gotten past the first track yet, which is one of the greatest tunes in my mind. How can we dance while our Earth is turning? We do, but how? How?

Saw them performing in the closing ceremony of Australias Olympics and was impressed with the message. Really liked the song Beds are Burning. The rest of the CD is good, different than the rock popular in the US.
