Die Hard 4: Live Free or Die Hard (DVD, 2007, Rated; Full Frame; Single Disc Version)

If you haven't seen this movie you are missing out! Bruce Willis Rocks..as usual..and there are some unique special effects stunts that I have never seen before or since in a movie.
There is someone taking control of the United States through the internet and Bruce becomes the one to find out who it is and in the process rescue a techno-nerd and Bruce's own daughter from the terorist.
LOTS of Action!

This movie is simply awesome!! Its just overcharge of action in any way possible. Probably there people saying that the movie is too fake but thats the power of the movie. To today, I have not know one person that doesn't enjoy Die Hard 4: Live Free or Die Hard!

If you like Die Hard 1, 2, and 3 you will love Live Free or Die Hard, it is the BEST of the 4 that he has made. I simply love this movie!

I loved all the Die Hard movies and this one didn't let me down. Lots of action and lots of John McClain one liners. Would highly recommend.

"A Timex Watch in a Digital Age," sneers Villain Thomas Gabriel (Timothy Olyphant) of NYPD Cop John McClane (Bruce Willis) in 'Live Free or Die Hard', the exhilarating fourth installment in the "Die Hard" Series.
The first since 1995's 'Die Hard: With a Vengeance'. Willis was 40yrs old then; past 50yrs old now, the only thing he has lost is the rest of his hair. And Gabriel is right, McClane is a relic from an Analog World; yet he also forgets the Timex slogan: "It takes a licking but keeps on ticking", and so—gloriously—does McClane.
McClane remains the resolutely retro flatfoot Warrior, but Mark Bomback's screenplay reflects our Post 9/11, Post-Katrina Age where official response in a genuine crisis is assumed to be incompetent and paranoia is a reasonable emotion.
It is not that FBI Deputy Director Bowman (Cliff Curtis) and his men are incapable of doing their jobs, but when an anthrax scare, a transportation meltdown, and stock market crisis occur simultaneously, they are overwhelmed. Luckily, McClane just happens to be on the way, escorting hacking suspect Matt Farrell (Justin Long) to Washington. He already knows something's up, because somebody's trying hard to kill the kid. Matt himself turns out to be useful when he is able to diagnose the crisis as a "Fire Sale," a kind of virtual Armageddon where cyber vandals attack transportation, financial systems, and utilities.
Olyphant as the spurned Former Fed turned Terrorist who nurses an operatic dream of revenge holds the panache of such memorable 'Die Hard' bad boys as Alan Rickman and Jeremy Irons.
Willis' return to the character is certainly a welcome one. This is a role he was born to play, the acerbic working stiff who freely admits fear to Matt while never blinking once the guns start blazing or stuff starts blowing up around him. He is also a throwback to the "Classic Lone Hero"; a Gary Cooper or John Wayne for the Modern Era, possessing the same sense of decency but with snappier banter.
As appealing as the characters are, it's 'Action' that propels the 'Die Hard' Movies and Director Len Wiseman does not skimp at all in that department. From the explosive opening minutes straight through to the climax, there is little pause between the gun battles, chase scenes, car crashes, and explosions. There are more pyrotechnics in this movie than in the average Fourth of July fireworks display and while there are impressive instances of CGI—including one setup involving a jet, a big rig, and an elevated roadway — many of the more arresting sequences involve old-fashioned stunt work.
There is a welcome human element to this adventure that is missing from so many other action movies now where you are always aware that what we are watching is an actor in front of a green screen. Here, McClane takes a long fall to the pavement, the meeting between body and ground is so visceral that you wince. When he bleeds, you believe it.
Sequels can be such a crap shoot. This summer's "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" was a demonstrated success, while "Evan Almighty" was a massive flop. But Willis, in gambling that he could successfully revisit the character that made him a True Hero rolls "All Sevens".
This is action at its most entertaining and proof that there is a lot of life left in this franchise.

I was sold into the Bruce Willis "Die Hard" movies, and I'll buy any follow up Die Hard movies. Plus I couldn't pass up the price.

i bought this item with the description that this item was in "very good" conditions, when i played the dvd it gets stuck after 15 min of playing and there is no way to fix it. A closer look at the dvd i noticed it was full of scratches and some so deep that makes the dvd unplayable. i contacted the seller and i got no answer..i asked for my refund or a dvd in "very good " conditions as advertised and i got no answer from seller. So i realized i have been ripped off. For the amount in question and my valuable time, i did not bother to continue trying to get an answer from the seller but your company should remove these kind of people from your website so no one else gets affected by these individuals . Felt to be a last ditch effort for Bruce Willis carrier but it really is worth watching gets a bit long but worth while.

I like the series and there are times when I just like a good blood and guts movie where the good guy wins through much trial and tribulation. This is the one for that thought process.

If you loved the original then you will absolutely love this last installment. It is sooooooo much better then 2 or 3. Bruce is just great, there is nail biting action and even some drama. I have the first three and just had to add the 4th to my collection. Great movie.

I saw this movie in the theaters. IT was awesome. I'm not a fan of the shoot um up bang bang movies, but it was really good.

Several weeks ago my husband suggested to me that he would like the movie "Die Hard4: Live Free or Die Hard. Very rarely do we choose to pay full price for a movie. I checked on Half.com and was grateful to see that someone had the movie. The price was what we were willing to pay...less than half retail price. The movie was as described..in great condition with no flaws to the DVD. I would recommend buying DVDs and/or VHS from Half.com

good movie is the continuation of the trilogy, is the best movie yet if the three others were good this is better u will not be dissapointed.

Great non-stop action, better than average plot, great special effects. Bruce Willis is is all over it in this best of all the sequels.

This movie starts out action packed. It was so great I ordered the entire collection. I LOVE IT!!!!!

Even though this was the 3rd movie in this series. It was still excellent. Bruce willis is an awesome actor and pulled it off once again. Usually a 2nd or 3rd sequel is a bomb, but this movie was great.

biught the product to complete a series. Wasn't as good a movie as the previous Die Hard ones but action scenes were exciting.

Watch it with a TV Guardian or not at all. Avoid the video and commentary, they are offensively profane.

Loved it! We did not think that after the other Die Hard's that this one would be any good. It was a whole new twist on the Die Hard's. Usually that will make us not like a movie when the story line does not follow in suit, but for this sequel, it was refreshing. We are glad we bought it and added it to our collection.

I rented this movie when it released on dvd and had to have it! This is a fantastic movie, I'd even say that it is likely the best movie of 2007. it's the best of the series easily, and it's packed with action and technology, including some nice apple displays and mac pros.

I purchased DVD as a gift, my daughter loves Bruce Willis and she desperately wanted the Die Hard Collection.
