Publisher's Note The previous CD-ROM edition of the 'Dictionary of Power Engineering and Automation' is identical to the 4th printed edition but has a new title. Together with the great number of basic electrotechnical terms, it comprehensively covers the fields of power generation, transmission and distribution, drive engineering, switchgear and installation engineering, power electronics, measurement, analysis and test engineering including large areas of electrical engineering used for industrial applications. The universal character is also clearly shown by the new title. The CD-ROM contains all entries of both parts of the printed edition, Part 1 (German-English) with over 67,000 and Part 2 (English-German) with over 54,000 entries. All entries have been revised and some 2500 terms added. With the new designed software one can find quick and easy correct translations of special terms. Additionally users can append their own remarks to the entries. On demand there is a network version of the dictionary available.
