Best TV Comedy to Hit the Small Screen

I bought this and all the other seasons. It is my favorite TV comedy show. What isn't there to like about the Dick Van Dyke show. It is a timeless classic. It works as much today as it did back in the 1960s. The best ensemble cast you can ever dream of putting together. It is very well written and extremely funny.
The season 2 DVD set has some of the best of the Dick Van Dyke show, such as the classic “It May Look Like a Walnut” a take off on old science fiction movies or “I’m No Henry Walden!” which pokes fun at the “literati.” “Gesundheit, Darling” where Rob thinks he is allergic to his family and many other classics of the second season.
Also each DVD has special features, such as interviews with the cast and writer Carl Reiner. Also on disc 4 is the Making of "It May Look Like a Walnut." This is a gem that I recommend to those who like a well written and acted comedy.

Funny, full of talent, great relationships, etc. What a great cast - Dick Van Dyke, Mary Tyler Moore, Rose Marie, Morey Amsterdam, Carl Reiner, and others. If you have seen this, you know all of this, if you haven't, you don't know what you're missing. You can't go wrong. Buy it for yourself and for a gift.

GREAT family friendly video - a piece of history!Season 2 may be the best of the DVD Dick Van Dyke seasons.
The Release of the Dick Van Dyke Show on DVD is one of the most enjoyable looks at American culture from nearly 45 years ago that exists today. It was a time when infidelity was a cause for alarm, when a wife loved her husband instead of gossiping to others about his faults, a time when the work place was a career, not just a 9 to 5 time waster. Season 2 includes classics like the "Cat Burglar." These TV shows will take you back to an enjoyable view of life from the 1960s. You can't find a more attractive family than Rob (Dick Van Dyke), Laura (Mary Tyler Moore), and Richie. Ms Moore was at the peak of her capri-pants wearing TV career. Dick Van Dyke was one of the funniest men on the tube. You can't find cleaner humor and good jokes on TV now or since. DVD sets 1-5 are the complete run and represent hours of family friendly video viewing. You'll enjoy them as much as we do !
