Joan Baez has been performing over 50 years and still sounds not a day over 20! Her vivid colorful protest songs from the '60's like, "Raise the Prisons" are (sadly), still applicable today. Plus, what fresh, young band just starting out has not tried to put their own spin on "Diamonds & Rust?" Just as Baez dreams her sweet dreams of the stranger in a twin bed with roses all around her, she paints an equally vivid picture of heartache and lonliness with "Please Come to Boston." Of course, the lesser known songs on the album are equally spellbinding & always have been. It's always funny when I play a copytune from an older LP like this, I still remember all the words... the songs really do remember when. 5 BIG GOLDEN STARS FOR THIS ONE... It Never Gets Old!
