Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (2000, Paperback)

I decided to buy it because it will be useful for my choice of career. I cannot give it a proper review at this time however, because I still await it's arrival. It's scheduled arrival date was a month ago and my e-mails are not being answered!!!

Very easy to read and understand. A wonderful resource for a graduate student/health care professional.

A must have reference for all professionals and students. It's good to keep in mind that this is not a perfect text and as such, it needs to be looked upon with some healthy skepticism.

I never received the book and I have not had any response to my emails.Please advise how I should proceed.

Never received the book. I wasted 2mos between ordering, waiting, and placing a claim to find out that the seller was not a member anymore.
I got my refund; however, it would be better if I knew it sooner so I could get the textbook another way.

I purchased the book because it was a required text for class and for my future work in social work. The book was a little bit hard to read at first, but then I was able to put everything together and apply things with the different concepts that I was given in class. I would certainly recommend anyone who is studying social work, mental health, psychiatry, etc. to go out and purchase this book and always have it on hand.

Although I received a fresh new copy of this book without any marks/writing/highlighting, I noticed that this book was printed in India and did not have the same footnotes as other publications. I did not notify the seller, since I feel the book will satisfy my purposes, but wanted to note that if the book has a different publisher, the seller should put it in the description.

The quality of the book was excellent - as described. However, this book was published in India and clearly says on the inside cover, FOR SALE IN INDIA ONLY. This was an illegal sale and I don't want to know how it got into the USA. This was not mentioned in the listing. While it doesn't affect the quality of the book - it's something to be aware of, and cautious about.

My book was delivered fast and in the condition they said it would be in.I was very pleased with the entire process.

Great manual to aid in diagnosis of mental disorders. Great tool in psychology classes! Easy to follow and very useful. A must have for LPC's or graduate students in psychology!

It's not a matter of liking, loving or reviewing...it's a necessary book in the field of psychology and a mandatory source that we should all have in the field. Finding it on Ebay....was finding "IT", easily and at the right price.

I purchased this book for reference for work. It's an expensive book and I appreciated being able to buy it used.

it was not published by the APA & the seller did not put that in the product description. After a couple of weeks of having this book. I noticed it was missing pages, but the seller kindly reshipped me another copy of the DSM. It is just like the version published by the APA, but publishing company is listed as Jaypee.

At first, because of the excellent price, I was a little sketchy about buying it, but it is the exact same DSM-IV-TR I needed for class. The only difference I think is the color of the cover and that it was printed in India, but everything else, the content, the pages, the title pages, everything is EXACTLY THE SAME. I saved so much money buying from this vendor.

The book is just as I expected. Paper kinda looks like recycled paper (hopefully it is =) ) The book is just fine.

Bought used as a textbook for a graduate level psychopathology class. Easy to use - clearly the standard text for a reason.

I utilize this manual almost daily with work and was not interested in paying book store prices. Although the product appeared less than new, it was in good condition and I was pleased.

I needed this book for Psychopathology class. It gives good explanations of the diverse disorders that anyone could be diagnosed with. Psychology students wishing to pursue a PhD it is a must to have reference book.

If I would have received it maybe I could give a review. I haven't heard from anyone regarding this order and no one has bothered to give me a refund!!! I never received it and I'm hoping I get a refund!!!

i like that is a complete unabridged book.
i dislike that a name was written around the pages that shows when the book is closed.
i bought it for myself because i am a psychotherapist.
